I have been collecting tons of twitter tools and figuring them out recently. Here is a quick dump of those tools with some comments. Not meant to be the exhaustive list. For the exhaustive list try the links at the bottom of the post.

Twitter Clients
* Tweet Deck - This is by far my favorite client. It presents a dashboard that categorizes tweets and allows you to create custom categories and searches to see your twitterverse.
* Twirl - Before Tweet Deck I really used this client as my work horse and still do when I need to tweet from two different accounts at the same time.
* Bright Kit - This client allows the user to schedule tweets from multiple accounts. Twitter for the serious marketer.
Twitter Mobile
* Twitter Berry - Easy to use client for Blackberrys
Twitter Search
* The twitter search in Tweet Deck is pretty awesome in my opinion.
* Twitturly - Twitturly is a service for tracking what URLs people are talking about as they talk about them on Twitter.
* Advanced Twitter Search - Allows the user to define granualr parameters on tweet searches.
* Tweet Scan - Nice cloud view of current tweets as well as search
Twitter Rankings
* Twitter Grader - The Twitter Grade measures the reach and authority of a Twitter user
* Twit Stat - Real time Twitter Analytics
* Twitter Counter - Has some nice analytics about your follower count. See the image above.
Twitter Follower Information
* Mr. Tweet - Analyzes your network and suggests influencers in your network to follow.
* Less Friends - Analyzes your network to see who follows you out of those you follow.
* Qwitter - Sends a message when someone unfollows you.
* Twitterless - Sends a message when someone unfollows you.
* Twit Graph - Analyzes your network by day, word etc.
Twitter Location
* Twitter Local - TwitterLocal lets you generate an RSS or XML Feed to filter out Tweets around a certain area. Just enter a city, state, postal code, choose the range of miles you want to include, and hit the button. You’ll instantly get URLs to add to your RSS reader.
Twitter Groups
* Twitter Groups - Who said that Twitter needs to have Groups? Now you can create your own Twitter Group and invite your friends on Twitter to join you. Expand your Twitter experience by sharing links, using tags and allowing other peeps to follow you and join your group.
Twitter Extenders
* Twit Blogs - Sometimes 140 characters is just not enough to say or show what you really want to say. If you want the best of both worlds then twitblogs is the perfect twitter companion for you.
